The Donna Economic Development Corporation (Donna EDC) is bringing local business owners, professionals, community partners, and leaders together through its monthly Lunch Hour Connections series.
Held on the last Friday of each month, Lunch Hour Connections provides an informal opportunity for members of Donna's business community to meet, share ideas, build professional relationships, and learn more about the people and organizations contributing to the local economy.
Each month, the Donna EDC selects a local Donna restaurant as the gathering location, giving attendees an opportunity to support a local business while connecting with fellow business and community leaders.
"Supporting our local businesses is an important part of strengthening our community," said Mayor David Moreno. "Lunch Hour Connections provides an opportunity for our business community to connect while also bringing customers into our local restaurants."
Donna EDC Executive Director April Castaneda said the program is designed to combine relationship-building with support for Donna's business community.
"Lunch Hour Connections is about more than networking," said Castaneda. "By holding these gatherings at local restaurants, we are creating an opportunity for business owners and community partners to connect while also supporting the restaurants that are part of Donna's business community. It is a simple way to dine, connect, and support local."
The informal luncheon provides an opportunity for attendees to learn about other businesses, exchange information, and build relationships in a relaxed setting. Attendees are responsible for their own meals, allowing participants to directly support the host restaurant.
The Donna EDC encourages local business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals, and community partners to participate in upcoming Lunch Hour Connections events and become part of Donna's growing business network.
Local restaurants interested in hosting a future Lunch Hour Connections are encouraged to contact the Donna EDC to learn more about participating.
